Contagious Leaders

Posted on January 30, 2017 at 11:22 AM Comments comments ()
I want to encourage Leaders in ministry and business in this season!  Jehovah God is calling all of us to come close to Him for direction that the world cannot give.

God is calling (through the wooing of the Holy Spirit) those leaders who have not received Christ as their personal Savior to make a commitment of faith.  He’s also calling Christ followers to recommit their lives and go deeper and wider in their faith.

If we are excited about our relationship with God through Christ, what we share will be contagious, because there will be an anointing on us.  There is a need to bring hope to the lost!  Many need to be made aware of the void in their lives – JESUS!

Precious Holy Spirit wants to comfort, teach, and guide . . . so that our plans are in line with the Word of God and the plan and purpose that He has ordained to be on our lives.

We must be bearers of Good News so that we will have a platform on which to stand that includes God’s promises to His people.  We have to be “salty” so that others thirst for The Living God.  We must be “hungry” to adopt the Word of God with an unwavering trust that causes others to want to be fed.  We must be a good example to those we lead.

Our God has made many promises to His believers.  We must stand firm in Christ and believe that He has our very best interests at heart.  Dying to self is absolutely necessary.  Calling upon the name of the Lord in every circumstance shows Him just how committed we are to following His leading.  He wants the two-way communion that will take us from glory to glory in His care.  He cares about every little detail of our lives.

So, as a Leader, continue to spend quality time worshiping, praying, studying the Word of God, and listening for what He has to say to you!  Use your influence as a leader to the best advantage through example and witness when the door comes open!

2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (NIV) - For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.  Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Be God’s Representative

This is the time of year when people can be plagued with negative emotions — dragging them off toward depression.  The enemy of their souls would like nothing better than for them to be tearful and full of concentration on their losses. It’s a time to remember this scripture:

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (AMP) — Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

A look outward will show us that many need to be comforted in this hour.  And, the Holy Spirit has a way of prompting us to do things that will cheer others. It’s not about a bottle of wine – no, that’s looking to a solution other than God for comfort (just one example).  But, it is about pointing others to the comfort of the Lord that surpasses all other solutions.  There are so many ways to do this . . . but in-person contact is one of the best.  In this age of computers and phones, getting in touch has caused isolation for many.

Matthew 11:28 (AMP) — “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].

How can you help someone who has been laboring and weighed down by life from a wrong perspective?  Help them remember God’s promises.  Help them focus on God’s character — God is love!

Or, perhaps you know someone who is sick:

Psalm 119:49-50 (AMP) — Remember [always] the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have made me hope.  This is my comfort in my affliction that Your word has revived me and given me life.

How about taking healing scriptures to someone who needs it?  God’s Word is powerful!

Don’t forget those who have recently lost a loved one:

Isaiah 61:1 (AMP) — The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me to bring good news . . . to the brokenhearted,

Christians need to be an example of trusting God during these times to avoid overwhelming grief.  We are agents of hope in God’s hands.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 (AMP) — Now we do not want you to be uninformed, believers, about those who are asleep [in death], so that you will not grieve [for them] as the others do who have no hope [beyond this present life].

And don’t forget those who are happy – those encouragers of others — because they really need you to reach out to them:

Jeremiah 29:13 (AMP) — Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

You do the seeking first  . . .
and then GO!!!!!!!!!
